Anybody ever tried this thing called a Magicjack?

Its the little thing that you plug into your computer and apparently you can get local calling and long distance for like $40 a year. Its says you just plug it into your USB port on the computer. Anybody has it or used it?

That's interesting, I haven't heard of that before! Sounds like a great, inexpensive alternative to a land line, etc...but I wonder if the people you call have to also have a compatible system? Or can you make regular calls to anyone?
