Replacing a standard climate control unit with an auto control unit in Saab 900?
I'm wondering if I can replace the standard control unit for the climate control with the automatic one which was originally offered as an upgrade with the Saab 900. The cutout is the same size, but I'm wondering if the wiring will be the same and the controls will all work. Thanks.
The MCC on the 900 is truly manual. The heater flap is controlled by a wire and the distribution of air flow is controlled by a shaft. The only things electric are the blower motor, rear defrost, and A/C.
The ACC has a motor to control the heater and another motor to control the air distribution.
You will need to install the motors, the instrument wiring harness and ACC panel.
